The eyes are the nipples of the face and the L.A Girl Gel liner is the perfect drugstore liner to make your eyes pop.

I’ve been using this product for 3 years now and I’m still crazy about it. The first time I saw this product I was so skeptical about purchasing it, due to how cheap it was and I honestly thought it would just be another shitty gel liner and a waste of money, but I was wrong. This product drew me to try other products from the brand and ever since then I became a huge fan of the L.A Girl beauty products.

The packaging of the product is very attractive and catches your attention quickly. It has a rich, creamy formula that glides easily onto your eye lids and can also be used on your waterline. The liner is water resistant, doesn’t smudge and last all day. The product also comes with a cute little liner brush, which I don’t use because I don’t really like it. I prefer using an angled brush to apply my eyeliner however, the brush that comes with liner isn’t bad at all, I’m just full of crap lol. The L.A. Girl Gel Liner is my every day go to liner, it’s super affordable and last very long.

Overall I have no complaints about this product, it’s my everyday go to gel liner. It’s stays on all day and when it’s time for me to remove it, it comes off easily with my eye makeup remover.  For me personally, I think that this is by far the best drugstore gel liner I’ve ever used and will continuing using. I highlighly recommend you try this gel liner if you looking for something affordable.

Above is the angled brush I prefer to use with gel liner and I have the liner in the shade very black as you can see.

This product also comes in: dark brown & brown

Catrice 3D Lash Multimizer Mascara comes in two different version, ultra black and waterproof. I personally hate waterproof mascara because it’s an absolute struggle to remove, therefore I stay far away from waterproof mascara. The Catrice brand is one of my top favourite makeup brands, I own alot of their products,  and I love that they are super affordable and they give you good quality products. Value for money. If you looking to purchase quality makeup without spending too much, then checkout this brand.

The Catrice 3D Lash Multimizer Ultra Black comes in a black and silver packaging, it has a medium size silicone wand which I love, because those thick ones are not really user-friendly. The formula of this mascara is very wet, it applies easily without any clumps however, it does give off a lot of product. What I really love about this product is that I can actually see the difference, it doesn’t lengthen my lashes but it does add volume, and makes it super black, making your lashes stand out, which is what I love. I have also had  quite a few people ask me what brand of mascara I use,  which I must admit made me feel special because they actually notice my lashes. Since then I knew that this was going to be my go to mascara.

I’ve tried various mascara’s and out of all of them there are only a handful of them that I love, however this particular mascara has now become my favourite! I hate wasting money on mascara that proclaim to do a,b & c to your lashes but doesn’t do shit at all, even if you apply 110 coats, your lashes just ends up looking thick and clumpy. Whereas this Catrice 3D Lash Multimizer actually does the job, giving your lashes volume, darkening them and making your lashes standout. This is a mascara worth purchasing! The Catrice brand also have a variety of other mascara’s you can choose from if you not interested in this particular one.

Above is a picture of me without any makeup and next to it is a picture of what my lashes look like with the Catrice 3D Lash Multimizer mascara.

I love this mascara so much that I might just add it to the giveaway that will be appearing on my instagram  🙂 . So keep a close eye on my instagram page (click here), because something exciting is going to take place soon.

The Catrice 3D Lash Multimizer in Ultra Black is a must have!

Avon Conditioning Eye Makeup Remover – Review

Hello Beauties 🙂

It’s time for another beauty review…

Today’s review has become one of  my favourite eye makeup removers, and it’s called the Avon Conditioning Eye Makeup Remover.  I have been using this product for 4 months now and I’m amazed at how well it works, as I’m not really a huge fan of the brand.

The design of this product is very simple, it comes in a plain white 150ml bottle with a screw off black top. The texture is white, creamy and lightly scented. This Avon conditioning eye makeup remover does a really good job in removing all my eye makeup including my difficult mascara however, what I really love about this product is that it doesn’t just do a good job removing eye makeup but, also all other makeup on my face. This including; Bb cream, foundation, blush, bronzer, lip colour etc. Using this product on my face has not caused any breakouts or problem for me, and I use it everyday however, I do make sure that I use a good face wash, cleanser and atleast exfoliate twice a week.

This eye makeup remover is amazing! Easy to apply and removes all traces of makeup. Price is super cheap, I paid R34 for the bottle. All you need to do is find an Avon Rep if you are looking to order one.

How to apply: Gently sweep over eye to remove all makeup.

Price: R34

Available: From Avon Cosmetics

Primers are one of the most essential makeup products we should have, as it helps with keeping everything in place. A primer is what we use after we’ve moisturized our skin and before we apply makeup, to smooth out those fine lines, pores, and to keep your makeup looking fresh all day long.

According to Maybelline this primer contains an instant-blur technology that visibly smoothes pores away, leaving you with a baby smooth & matte finish. Moisturizers all day, light weight and breathable .

The baby skin primer is a clear silcone texture, which spreads easily making your skin smooth and silky. To me this primer works better than the Catrice primer I usually use, it doesn’t really blur out your pores completely, but it does a pretty good job at making them less visible. What I love about this primer is that it helps keep my makeup looking fresh all day and it doesn’t make my skin appear oilier. I tend to get very oily in my  T-zone area however, since I’ve been using this primer it has helped alot with the oil control and does a great job in mattifing my look. I hardly ever need any touch up, the only thing I would need to touch up would be my lip colour. However, I think that the reason it also stays on all day is because I use a really good foundation.  Overall I really love this primer and it’s definitely one that’s always going to be in my makeup bag, Oh and before I forget to mention this primer is super super affordable, and it’s under a R100! I can’t exactly remember how much I paid but I know for sure I paid less than R90.

Would I Recommend?

  • Yes, it’s super affordable
  • Great for oily skin, to mattify your makeup look
  • Gives you a great airbrush look
  • Makes your pores less visible
  • Easy to apply
  • Fragrance free

No Inspiration

Why I stopped blogging…

It’s been a long time since my last blog post, technically I gave up blogging. I was lacking motivation and had no inspiration, and to be honest, writing isn’t really my forte.

I’m surprised I’m even writing this post. Usually I get bored  and just stop doing things and move on to something more exciting, but somehow I keep coming back to blogging. I do enjoy blogging about various makeup and beauty products, even though, like I said writing isn’t really my strong suit. I do enjoy informing others about products that are out of this world amazing and shit you should never purchase, but finding the time to blog was a problem for me.

So why did I stop..

A) I have a full time job. Yes, everyone has a job and yet they can blog or do whatever on the side, but that’s not the case for me. My job requires a lot of my time and energy it’s ridiculous. I’ve tried blogging at work when I have a minute or 2 to spare, but that didn’t workout so great. I had so many people bugging me and constantly watching me, waiting for me to slip up, but unfortunately work needs 110% of my attention and no one can do anything for themselves, the lazy shits.

B) No time after work. Usually when I arrive home after work I would be helping out looking after my adorable nephew. His a very sweet boy but a very busy one too, who tires the shit out you. The reason for me helping out would be, because my sister (my nephew’s mum) would work late shifts, and my parents would attend church in the evenings therefore, I would have too babysit for a while. Now babysitting a toddler is freaking exhausting! You just can’t get them to sleep, they all over the place and so are their toys. Any time to blog?? Hell no! By the time my sister gets home, I’m tired as fuck and would go straight to bed. No way am I going to be sitting up writing a post and editing pictures after that. It’s bedtime for me, because in a few hours I have to be up again. Thank goodness my sister no longer works those horrible shifts , so now I finally have some free time on my hands.

Honestly I don’t know how these full-time bloggers do it. Where do they get their inspiration from to blog everyday? How do they manage their time when out doing photo shoots, meetings etc, and still have the time to write a blog post. Please tell me your secret. I need to know how you do it.  Any advice would be great.

Now that I have free time on my hand, I’m going to try and blog as often as I can. I’m not making any promises, I’m blogging for myself and whenever I have an opportunity to do so.

Stay tuned for more up and coming post.

Thank you for reading.

Avon Glow Bronzing Pearls

Hello my beauties,

You all know I’ve been m.i.a, lazy and lacking inspiration but it’s time for me to pull my shit together, put on my big girl pants and starting doing what I promise myself I would do.

I’m finally doing a review post on a product I’ve should have done months ago however, I was being lazy as shit, but like they say better late than never lol.

“The Avon Glow Bronzing Pearls” I’ve seen quite a few bloggers raving about this particular product from Avon, which was intriguing because it was something I’ve always wanted to try, but was too skeptical due to previous disappointments with Avon’s beauty products.

These bronzing pearls are actually pretty good and it gives you a nice soft glow however, it’s not much of bronzer but more of a highlighter. I have a light to medium skin tone so as a bronzer it should reflect immediately, but all it gives is a very soft sheer glow and I happen to like that. Another thing is swirling my brush on those balls are terrible because they keep jumping out of the container lol, maybe I’m a little rough but I’m just trying to get as much product as I can on my brush. So when swirling your brush in the bronzing pearls do slow soft swirls or else you too will be losing some balls lol.

This bronzing pearls are perfect for the summer season giving you a soft youthful glow. It’s great for a day or night-time look. I’m actually surprised that I wasn’t disappointed by the product, yes there is one small thing wrong but other than that I’m happy with product. Like I said it’s not much as of a bronzer but more of a highlighter, and that’s perfectly fine for me because obsessed with  highlighters, you can never have enough of them lol.

There are very few Avon products I enjoy but the ones I love, I would highly recommend. The Avon Glow Bronzing Pearls is an 8/10 for me. It might not be the perfect bronzer but it makes a good highlighter. If you do decide to try it out, please leave a comment and let me know what your thoughts are. Oh one last thing I forgot to mention is that these bronzing pearls comes in 2 shades warm & radiant glow, and I’m using the shade warm.

Hello Beauties,

A Happy New Year to all my beauties!

2017 is upon us! A new year, a new journey that awaits us.

So you might have notice that I haven’t been blogging as much, my life is so hectic right now with work, purchasing a property etc so finding the time to just sit down and blog is very difficult. I love blogging and messing with makeup, doing various makeup looks, but blogging is not as easy as I thought it would be, especially since I have a full-time job.

I have also become very lazy and I’m someone who gets bored easily, so when that happens I end up looking for something new to do lol. I know it’s wrong and I need to stick to things, but I have very little patience and it’s something I really need to work on this year. I know that I’ve been slacking in my blogging but I’m ready to pick things up and continue where I left off. I’ am going to try my utmost best to do atleast 3 post a week and stick to that lol.

I’m looking forward to posting some exciting new blog posts soon 🙂

Hello Beauties,

The Essence Mattifying Compact Powder is one of the best I’ve ever used. Normally I make use of the Essence Pure Skin Compact Powder, but I wanted to try something different for a change. My skin type is combination so my nose, forehead and chin are oily and my cheeks are dry therefore, I need a compact powder to control the oily parts of my face.

The Essence Mattifiying Compact Powder works very well and mattifies your skin instantly without making it look cakey. It has a great matte effect and honestly for me this product last all day, my skin does not feel oily during the course of the day so there’s no need for touch ups. What I love about this product is that it does not give that white effect after applying the powder. This product blends easily and great for everyday use, it’s light and travel friendly and it’s very affordable.

Overall I love this product, I have nothing bad to say. I absolutely love it and would give this product a 10/10!

Avon’s Skin So Soft Enhance & Glow 7 in

Hello Beauties

I’ve been looking around for a tinted moisturizer for sometime and I still haven’t found it however, a friend of mine gave me the Avon Skin So Soft Enhance & Glow 7 in 1 lotion, which I found very interesting because it’s kind of a light tinted moisturizer and it claims to be a light tan as well.

I’ve tried the product and it’s actually not bad at all. It has a very light shimmer but it doesn’t really give me that light tan I wanted. The one thing I really do not like is the smell of the lotion, it has a very sweet but musky smell which just does not go well together. I really like that it’s a light shimmer  and not that glittery look (thank goodness for that), and the shimmer last all day. The moisturizer is very thin and creamy and blends well into your skin.

Overall this product is nothing to rave about, it does give shimmer but it’s missing that light tan and a good smell. My rating for this product would a 5/10.
If you do feel you want to give this product a try I suggest you contact a local Avon rep in your area however, I’m not sure of the price as I received this product as a gift.

Hello Beauties 🙂

It’s finally time for review no #2! So let’s get straight to it.

Over the weekend I’ve been experimenting with the Beauty Treats Ultimate Face Palette, and OMW this palette is amazeballs   amazing!! This palette consists of 4 cream foundations, 2 highlighter, 2 blush & 2 bronzers. How great is that!

The formula of this palette is so smooth, the foundations are very creamy however, I use these foundation as a cream contour because I’m very fussy when it comes to foundations. When using the foundations to contour I use the darkest shade but it’s just for a light contour because the shade isn’t really as dark, and for the highlight I use the second latest shade.

The blush and bronzers are very pigmented so when applying you really need to lightly sweep your brush onto the product, knock off any excess and the apply lightly or else you’ll end looking like a clown. The highlighter is absolutely gorgeous! Very shimmery which I love, it blends well and last all day! This palette is great and super affordable.

If you looking for an affordable palette then this one is right for you.
